Playmais works without glue. Lightly moistening the pieces with water makes them stick to one another. That's how kids create patterns, animal figures, pirate ships, 3D objects, or entire imaginary worlds – all designed by themselves.
Parents don't need to explain anything. Kids immediately understand how it works: just dive in and start crafting. Completely free, or inspired by our themed templates and instructions.
With Playmais, you can craft anytime, anywhere. At home, on vacation, in a café, or outside – wherever you like.
One more tip: we recommend using a waterproof surface. After all, water is involved, even if just a little.
Use water sparingly. The sponge should only be damp and well wrung out before it touches the Playmais pieces. It's a good idea to do one or two test joins before starting your masterpiece.
Playmais is made primarily of corn grits, water, and food coloring. We source the corn grits mainly from Germany and the EU.
Yes. Playmais is tested to EN 71, the European standard for toy safety. This includes EN 71 Part 3, which limits the migration of certain elements.
Playmais is intended for children aged 3 and up. It is not suitable for children under 3.
We have always produced exclusively in Germany, at our site in Dorsten, and we will continue to do so. The electricity for our production comes from renewable sources.
Producing in Germany means that German labor law and German occupational safety standards apply to our own manufacturing step.

In general, Playmais is suitable for children aged 3 to 11. For a shared crafting experience with children or grandchildren, we developed Playmais Ecopixx: artistic crafting for relaxation, suitable for ages 12 to 99.
Our Playmais is not 4K. Not responsive. It never asks for updates. No Wi-Fi, no SIM card, no batteries – and screen time simply isn't part of it.

We offer products for different age groups, types of play, and needs:
- Classic is the "free" version for unleashing creativity. With Classic, children can create animals, objects, or entire Playmais worlds based on specific templates, either in 2D or 3D.
- With our Mosaic crafting sets, children create two-dimensional works of art. The Mosaic pieces are applied onto pre-designed or blank template cards. The Playmais pieces in Mosaic are smaller than in the Classic sets, making them ideal for more detailed, intricate designs.
- New is Playmais Ecopixx. With Ecopixx, we bring moments of relaxation into daily life: We call it artistic crafting for relaxation. This product is suitable for people aged 9 to 99, making it a great opportunity for a

Because even a few pieces produce a visible result, success comes quickly – and children set their own pace.
Playmais is a crafting toy, not a food product, and it is not intended for consumption. The materials are tested to EN 71 for toy safety. If a child accidentally swallows a piece while crafting, this is generally not a problem. If you have any concerns or your child shows symptoms, please contact your pediatrician.
